At Reality Workforce, we recognize the value of lay counselling as an important support service. Lay counsellors are individuals who have received structured training in basic counselling skills but are not registered psychologists or clinical counsellors. They provide compassionate, practical guidance and emotional support within their scope of practice.


Training & Competence: 
All lay counsellors we affiliate with must hold a recognized SAQA NQF qualification relevant to counselling or support services.
Ethical Practice: 
Lay counsellors operate under strict codes of conduct, ensuring confidentiality, respect, and professionalism.
Scope of Service:
They provide listening, guidance, and referral support but do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Affiliation & Oversight:
 All lay counsellors are affiliated with recognized regulating bodies or professional associations to ensure accountability.
